Devices restart limitation

If a device enters a failed state after you perform a reboot, this may be caused by a feature that has a device fall back to the default setting for USB after a reboot, which is charging only. When this happens, the device does not receive any commands and cannot open in Perfecto, therefore getting marked as FAILED after restart. This is a limitation with the following makes and models:

  1. All Huawei, Xiaomi, Oppo, and Redmi devices
  2. One Plus 6
  3. Motorola Droid Turbo 2

Workaround

Open a case with Perfecto Support and mark is as a DEVICE case. This ensures that it gets routed to the correct support engineer immediately.

Typically, the best course of action is to fully disable reboot as an option on the Perfecto side. If you do need to reboot a device, open a support case.
