Open or close a device

To test withAI Scriptless, you can open one or more devices from the lab, switch between different devices, or close the currently open device or devices when you're done. You can also close all open devices at once. To learn more, see Close all open devices.

You can use AI Scriptless to test using real (mobile), virtual mobile, web browser, and desktop application devices. If you are unsure if you want to test with a virtual device, you can learn more in Virtual mobile devices.

  1. In AI Scriptless, click Open Device.

  2. In the Mobile tab, select any device from the list of devices. You can also search for a specific device and then select it.

    It is possible to sort devices based on device parameters. You can click any column header to sort the device list ascending or descending per column data.

    For clouds that have AI enabled, you can select a real or a web device. Click Mobile or Desktop. The list of devices gets displayed as per your selection.
    You cannot select a device that is in use by another user.

  3. Click Select to launch the device.

  1. In AI Scriptless, click Open Device.

  2. In the Virtual tab, select the device parameters you want for your virtual device.

  1. In AI Scriptless, click Open Device.

  2. In the Select device dialog box, click Web.

  3. Select the desired configuration.

  4. Click Select to launch the device with the selected configuration.

  1. When using a desktop device for the first time, you need to Connect your desktop to Perfecto.

  2. In AI Scriptless, click Open Device.

  3. In the Select device dialog box, click Desktop app.

  4. Enter your username and password if using the device for the first time. You do not have to enter your username and password for subsequent visits.

  5. (Optional) Select the Resolution for the device in the bottom-left corner.

  6. Click Select to launch the device.

  1. In the devices area, click the device to be released.

  2. On the Action panel, click the Close device button .

  3. (Optional) To remove the installed apps or data on the device on close, select the Clean up device on close checkbox.

  4. Click Yes to close the device.
