Open a device

Scriptless Mobile supports selecting a device from the lab and displaying it in the devices pane on the right. At any time, you can select a real device from the list of available devices or, if you already have a device open, switch to a different device.

When you access Scriptless Mobile, you are immediately prompted to select a device, but you can skip this option and open a device later, from within the Scriptless Mobile UI.

  1. Access Scriptless Mobile.

  2. In the Select device dialog box, select a real device from the list of devices. You can also search for a specific device and then select it.

    It is possible to sort devices based on device parameters. You can click any column header to sort the device list ascending or descending per column data.

    Restriction: You cannot select a device that is in use by another user.

  3. Click SELECT.

  1. In Scriptless Mobile, click Open Device.

  2. In the Select device dialog box, select any device from the list of devices. You can also search for a specific device and then select it.

  3. Click SELECT.

  1. In the devices area, click the device to be released.

  2. Do one of the following:

    • On the device toolbar, click the Close device button .

    • In the widgets pane, click the Release all open devices button .

  3. In the Release Device dialog box, click RELEASE.

    Important: In an enterprise cloud, releasing the device does not clean it. If you want to remove the installed apps or data on the device, select the Clean up device on release checkbox. This functionality changes the default behavior.
