Enter secure text

Some UI fields, such as password fields, are considered secure fields whose content should be masked. Perfecto allows you to enter text in a secure manner so that it will appear encrypted in the generated report output.

On devices running iOS 13 or later, clicking a secure field automatically opens the Enter text dialog box, where you can enter sensitive text so that it will appear encrypted on the screen as well as in the resulting report.

On Android devices, you need to open this dialog box manually. When you submit the dialog box, the sensitive text does appear on the device screen, but it will be encrypted in the resulting report.

To enter secure text on Android devices:

  1. On the device screen, click the text field.

  2. On the device toolbar, click the lock icon .

  3. In the Enter text dialog box that opens, enter the text and click OK, I'M DONE.
