View the device log

On an open device, you can retrieve the last x number of lines of the device's operating log. The log includes valuable data that can help understand execution problems. By default, Perfecto retrieves 500 lines. The supported range is 1 to 1000.

The device log also gets attached to the test report. You can download it as a .zip file. For more information, see Single test report (STR).

To view the device log:

1. On the device toolbar, click the log icon . The Device Log panel opens on the right.
2. (Optional) To edit the number of lines to include, click the line icon , adjust the number of lines as needed, and click SAVE.
3. (Optional) To refresh the log, click the reload icon .
4. To close the Device Log panel, click the  icon.
