Release 20.6
Spring 2020 index available
We just released our new Mobile & Web Test Coverage Index, Spring 2020 edition, including the top DevOps trends for 2020, mobile and OS usage data for 9 countries, and the web testing coverage and browser release calendar for 2020. Based on exclusive Perfecto data as well as mobile market usage data, the new index provides a benchmark of devices, web browsers, and user conditions to test on to help you test smarter. It includes a list of browser and OS combinations that organizations in every country should test on to achieve desired market coverage. Per the index, the golden rules for combining platform and test automation scenarios are:
- Leveraging market data and keeping your lab up to date and aligned with your own usage data.
- Maintaining, validating, and modifying your test automation suits.
- Spreading your test automation executions throughout the pipeline based on criteria such as your software iteration scope or regression needs, to name only a couple.
-
Testing against real end user conditions. The following table suggests mobile profiles with varying environment conditions.

Integration with Apache Ivy
Perfecto has proved its existing integration with Apache Ivy, an agile dependency manager. Ivy manages project dependencies such as recording, tracking, resolving, and reporting aspects of a project. Watch this short video to see how the integration works.
For step-by-step integration instructions, see our Apache Ivy documentation.
Solved Issues
Perfecto has resolved the following issue:
- NP-41992: On Android devices, in isolated cases, the installation of an application would get stuck, causing the device to become unresponsive. To prevent this from happening, app installations on Android devices now time out after 2 minutes. This timeout only applies to the actual installation on the device. It does not include time spent on file transfer and instrumentation operations.
