Legacy | Add roles

You can manage access to devices so that a user, or group of users, has only access to a defined set of devices. Customized roles, created for work delegation, are assigned to specific devices and users. Users assigned to specific roles can only get access to devices assigned to those roles.

To set up roles:

  1. Add new roles (see below).
  2. Assign roles to devices.
  3. Assign roles to users.

Add new roles

  1. Select the Roles tab.
  2. Click the Add icon.
  3. Give the role a name and a description.
  4. Click OK.
