Prepare for the new reports
Perfecto is preparing the migration of all execution reports to the new Reporting format. To help you prepare your automation scripts, new Selenium/Appium templates are available, both in the different plugins as well as in the Perfecto Github Repo. Update your plugin to access the new templates.
Reporting - improvements
Perfecto Reporting continues to sharpen its focus and usability features:
- User interface of the Report Library Dashboard now supports selecting report tags to be "excluded" from the list of reports. This allows the reviewers to focus on the test reports that really interest them.
- To help testers easily analyze their visual analysis results, reports now include the Expected Image alongside the actual screenshot for steps that activate Visual Analysis.
Support for iOS 10.2.1 GA
Perfecto CQ Lab offered full testing support for all features of iOS 10.2.1 on the day of the general release. See the list of platforms supported.
Product Updates
Interactive feature updates
- Configure how a mobile device is identified in the device window - options include device name, phone number, device ID.
Automation feature updates
- Early access support for simulating fingerprint authorization functionality.
Plugin feature updates
- New Selenium/Appium templates that support the new DigitalZoom Reporting feature. Upgrade the plugin to access the new templates.
Desktop Web feature updates
- Fixed- Selecting values in dropdown menus on Firefox versions 45-48 works properly.
- Interactive mode- will use the latest browser version by default.
- Reports for executions using the "latest" browser version will report the actual version number used.
Developer feature updates
- Installation of the DevTunnel service both on Windows and Mac has been shortened to allow quicker startup.
- Extensive troubleshooting guide - addresses all error messages reported by DevTunnel.
Reporting feature updates
- Visual Analysis steps reported with both the "expected image" and the actual screenshot.
- Reports for executions older than 45 days are no longer accessible.
- Report dashboard tag filtering now supports the ability to exclude reports with specified tags from the list of reports.
iOS support updates
- Fixed: Type text command functions properly when typing strings that include the tilde ('~') character.
- Unlocking Perfecto Lab devices that support passcode locking now supported.
