Add a step through the canvas

You can add a step on the fly or through the canvas. Working with the canvas includes additional options that are not available when you work with a live execution. You can add a new step in Basic Mode or Advanced Mode. Here, we walk you through the procedure in Basic Mode.

To add a step through the canvas:

1. Access the canvas.
2. In Basic Mode, select the step preceding or following the new step you want to add, and then click Add step.
3. From the list of actions, select the appropriate action, such as User Action > Keyboard Input. For a list of available actions, see Action categories.
4. When prompted, provide the required information for the new step. In the case of keyboard input, this is the name of the field.
5. On the toolbar at the top right, click Save.
