Perfecto desktop web offering big changes

Perfecto's new HTML5-based web interactive is now open for early access. Contact your CSM to participate. We will enable this functionality to all hosted/Hybrid clouds customers soon. 

MUCH better & faster experience. Initiate new session within seconds and get highly responsive user interactions with very low latency.

Perfecto new web interactive includes multilingual keyboard input, keyboard shortcuts (such as copy & paste) and support for all mouse gestures (such as hover, right click, etc.)

Selenium & Appium Upgrades 

  • Appium for iOS has been upgraded to the latest 1.11.1 version. for more details, See change log here.

Security notes

  • TLS V1.0 is no longer allowed to eliminate potential vulnerabilities and ensure secure communication. 
  • Perfecto is adding forced validation for "audience restriction" setting in SAML configuration (Section 2.5.1.4). Customers with external SSO IDP (a.k.a. federated SAML) MUST implement the <audienceRestriction> or <audience> SAML tags. this configuration was not previously validated as required by the SAML specifications. Perfecto will start enforcing this validation in the next few weeks and customers which are using external IDP configuration MUST change their configuration in order to continue using federated SAML SSO. for more information, please contact your CSM or support. 

Solved issues

  • 36685 - Appium getViewportRect does not return proper response. 
  • 36286 - interactive web sessions are now opened with proper default page.
  • 36599 - Appium getKeyboard.pressKey on iOS fails from time to time.
  • 36596 - DevTunnel installation are not synced with the cloud version. 
  • 36551 - Visual analysis sometime fails with error 401.
  • 36485 - Selenium geckodriverVersion is not working as expected.
