Release 21.3

Manual testing enhancements

  • Added a new release state called RELEASING for devices that are no longer in use but not yet available. Releasing a device typically takes a few seconds as it is being prepared for the next user.

  • While an app is being installed, you can now move to other device tabs. Previously, you had to wait until the installation was complete.
  • The Applications dialog box now displays a comprehensive ToolTip for each application. The ToolTip includes the full name of the app, the full version number, and (on Android devices only) the date that the application was installed on the device.

Test analysis enhancements

Assets and Setup enhancements

  • In addition to the upload date, items in the repository now also include the exact time of upload. This is helpful when you upload several versions of a file in a single day.

Security enhancements | Password policy

Hardened the password policy for enhanced security. Passwords must now have a minimum length of 8 characters and include at least one of each of the following:

  • Uppercase character
  • Lowercase character
  • Special character
  • Numeric character

Repository API enhancements

Added support for limiting the number of items that the Get Repository Items List API returns by adding the following new parameters:

  • skip: Specifies how many elements to skip.
  • pagesize: Specifies how many artifacts to retrieve per request.

Both parameters are optional. For details, see Get Repository Items List.

Changes to public cloud hardening

To ensure all devices are available and in good condition, blocked access to iOS settings on devices in our public cloud.

Performance enhancements

Some locations will see an improvement in how long it takes to open a device and how fast a device responds to Click and Type actions.

Platform support

Support for iOS 14.5 Beta 3 is now available, with the following Apple limitation: Connecting to an application's UIWebView crashes the application, even when accessed through the Safari developer menu.

The limitations of iOS 13 versions still apply.

Browser support

Support for the following new browser versions is now available on Windows and Mac machines:

  • Firefox 86 Stable and 87 Beta
  • Google Chrome 89
  • Microsoft Edge 89
