Group license management lets you reserve licenses for a specific org group in enterprise (private) clouds. When a user requests a license, Perfecto checks the user's org group entitlement first and then checks the shared tenant-level entitlement.

How group license management works
By default, eligible users consume licenses from the tenant-level pool. With group license management, you can allocate part of that pool to a specific org group.
For example, if your cloud has 30 licenses and you allocate 10 to Group A, users in Group A can use up to 10 licenses from that reserved allocation. The remaining 20 licenses stay in the shared tenant pool for users and groups that do not have dedicated allocations.

Group license management requires admin privileges to manage users and org groups.

You must create the required org groups before Perfecto can assign licenses to them.

Limitations

You cannot manage license allocation for org groups in the Users view.

A user can belong to only one org group at a time. Moving a user to a different org group removes the user from the previous group, which can change which entitlement applies to that user.

License allocations are license-type specific. If an org group has only virtual-device licenses assigned, users in that group cannot consume licenses for real mobile or desktop web devices unless Perfecto also allocates those license types to the org group.
