Release 26.7

Perfecto 26.7 (released on July 5, 2026) introduces autonomous testing with a unified workflow across Perfecto and BlazeMeter, expands Perfecto MCP Server support for AI Scriptless, and delivers key AI Scriptless enhancements including Desktop App platform support, global AI knowledge, and prompt quality scoring. This release also includes documentation updates, Quantum 3.2.4 framework support, and refreshed iOS, Android, and browser coverage across real and virtual platforms.

Perforce Autonomous Testing

Perforce Autonomous Testing introduces a unified approach to functional and performance testing across Perfecto and BlazeMeter. Create a single test and execute it across both platforms without switching tools or duplicating effort.

Define your application, scenarios, environments, and success criteria in natural language. Perforce Autonomous Testing generates and executes the required tests automatically using Perfecto and BlazeMeter.

This capability enables a single, streamlined workflow for creating, managing, and executing tests across mobile and web applications.

Requirements: You must have both a Perfecto license and a BlazeMeter license.

To learn more, see Introduction to Perforce Autonomous Testing.

For an overview of autonomous testing and its benefits, see Perforce Autonomous Testing.

Perfecto MCP Server

In this release, Perfecto MCP Server includes the following enhancements.

AI Scriptless support

You can now use the Perfecto MCP Server to create, inspect, and maintain AI Scriptless tests through natural-language prompts. This support includes test structure views, command and control-flow editing actions, test-level operations, and snapshot access.

To learn more, see Perfecto MCP Server action reference.

AI Scriptless enhancements

In this release, AI Scriptless includes the following enhancements.

Desktop App platform support

In AI Scriptless, you can now test desktop applications using the Desktop App platform type using your desktop computer. Once you connect your desktop to Perfecto, this feature enables you to execute AI-driven tests on desktop applications, monitor execution of the test, and analyze results using existing reporting capabilities

The Desktop App platform integrates with reporting and analytics features, providing consistency with desktop web testing, including execution status and duration, step-by-step logs and failure details, screenshots, and filtering by platform type in reporting views. Additional desktop-specific details, such as device ID, IP, and machine name, are also available in reports.

To learn more about connecting your desktop to your Perfecto cloud, see Connect your desktop to Perfecto.

To learn more about using your desktop app device, see Open or close a device and Supported actions on open devices.

Global AI knowledge

You can now define reusable context for AI commands by adding an ai.txt file to your repository. Its contents are automatically included as global instructions in AI prompts, helping AI actions better understand complex or non-standard application layouts (such as dashboards or graphical views). This reduces the need to repeat detailed explanations in each prompt and improves accuracy and consistency across all AI-assisted tests and executions.

Limitation: The ai.txt file is limited to 2,000 characters. If the file exceeds this limit, it is ignored.

To learn more, see Specialized knowledge.

Command availability

We have restored availability of commands that do not require a device under test (DUT) for desktop web and virtual device testing in AI Scriptless. This update reverses the command-availability limitation introduced in release 26.5.

As a result, existing tests that were affected by missing commands are editable again and can run as expected.

To learn more, see Add commands or checkpoints.

Prompt quality scoring

AI Scriptless now scores your AI prompts in real-time with color-coded feedback (yellow or red) and AI-generated improvement suggestions. You can review recommendations before execution to refine your prompts and achieve more reliable command outcomes.

To learn more, see Best practices for working with AI user actions and Best practices for working with AI validations.

Documentation enhancements

This release includes the following enhancements to the Perfecto documentation.

XPath 2.0 guidance for Appium users

The XPath documentation now clarifies that Appium can limit support for some XPath 2.0 expressions in certain scenarios. The updated guidance helps you choose compatible locator patterns and points to workaround guidance.

To learn more, see Work with UI elements using XPath and XPath 2.0 updates and workarounds.

Site-to-site IPsec VPN guidance

Added guidance for an existing site-to-site IPsec VPN option that enables a secure connection from private networks to the Perfecto cloud. The topic clarifies when to use this option and how it compares with Perfecto Connect.

To learn more, see Site‑to‑site IPsec VPN for internal access.

Framework support

This release introduces the following test framework enhancements.

Quantum 3.2.4

Quantum 3.2.4 adds configurable failure behavior for AI User-Action and AI Validation steps, introduces additional step variations, and improves AI Visual Comparison behavior.

It also fixes AI User-Action return data handling, resolves duplicate AI report entries, and includes security updates. To learn more, see Quantum 3.2.4 release notes.
